How many beginnings does it take to reach a goal? Today, I am committing myself to taking measurable steps towards living my life’s purpose. For me, this means reaching the goal of being the person I can be proud of both professionally and personally. As I am learning spiritually, professionally, and personally, I would like to share my thoughts and lessons. My hope and dream is that this will help reach people in a way that they feel less alone and possibly more motivated and disciplined to attain their personal goals. While I process and learn, please take what touches you and leave the rest.
Today, with the help of the Circle community, I am focusing on the vision for my life and the goals needed to attain this vision. In our class, we have discussed defining a vision, a goal, and a task (next step).
Vision: When wanting to make changes in your life, it is important to have a vision. There is no need to stress or worry. The vision can change, but what is it right now? What are you working towards and why? My vision currently is to create a happy and peaceful life for myself and my family, to be able to lead a life where I can be independent and proud of who I am, how I live, and what I am achieving. Personally, this means a safe and happy home environment, where we as a family feel free to be ourselves, loved and supported. Roots and Wings!
Professionally, this means working in multiple facets to make the world a better place through healing (especially emotionally and mentally), sharing, and loving. Helping people to learn how to be strong, confident, happy, compassionate, and kind. These can be big goals, but they also can be simple acts of self-care and paying it forward, such as gifts of flowers or pampering.
What is your vision?
Goals: How do I, or better yet we, get there. What are the goals that help make the vision become a reality? Goals are measurable and achievable. On a personal note, this for me means aligning my mindset and my finances to buy a home to create the safe environment I want for my family.
On a professional note, for me, this means better defining my business goals to be achievable. One, working in my current profession, I want to create an environment that is caring, productive, and flexible. A business model that will meet the needs of our team and myself, our flower customers, be economically sound and profitable – something we can all be proud to be a part of. This goal is definable and measurable through sales and retention. Two, I want to create my dream of being an entrepreneur who can holistically reach people to help them achieve a better quality of life and make the world a better place. The measurable goal will be the people who are lifted up and happier because of our Love Hope and Sunflowers.
What are your goals?
Tasks (Next Steps): Finally, what are the next steps to reach the goals we are defining? These are steps we can take today, this week, and this month to break our goals down into bit size pieces, moving us in the right direction. Personally, for me, this means ensuring that finances are ready, credit is clean, and the necessary time is in place to help me make my home purchase happen!
Professionally, for myself and Meraki: Love Hope Sunflowers, this means connecting with like-minded people. I struggle with my fears and insecurities. So this first step is a small step of beginning again with sharing my story here. I hope that this will help us to connect, and maybe my journey to finding my true happiness and reaching my goals will help someone along the way.
